I’ve noticed a VERY sharp decline in members and in posts over at TDH. The site is okay, but nowhere near as cool as DDB used to be. I don’t really post there because the rah rahs seriously annoy me.

For example, pictures of Jason were posted of him holding up his plaque for five million MySpace plays. The rah rahs all pitched in a dollar and got a plaque made for him (the rest of the money, $100 was given to GLOW, one of Jason’s charities.). Anyway, a poster who goes by the name of OPPA FTW!!! mentioned how pointless and silly it was to give Jason a plaque just for his plays and it would make much better sense to make one for him for a REAL milestone, such as if Jason had gotten signed to a record deal or if his album/single went gold or platinum or something. When Oppa brought it up, some of the rah rahs went on the offensive and it almost seemed like a fight was going to ensue. Oh, Betsy was the one who presented the plaque to Jason and took pictures of him with. VFTW and Idletard are already ridiculing the matter.

This is just one of the many reasons the rah rahs irk me…they just don’t see reason. Talking to them is just like talking to a brick wall.

it’s like talking to a brick wall because they will do anything to get their attention fix. ANYTHING. Set Jason up for ridicule? Who cares…..they are getting attention…from Betsy….oh boy!

I don’t see what real harm Blaker’s logo did, really. Plus, Betsy didn’t really seem to mind before. People were wearing Blaker’s logo at Jason’s homecoming and in one of Jason’s videos, the one he and Jackie made in the car before the tour, Betsy’s seen holding up a newspaper WITH Blaker’s logo printed inside, so why was she making a big deal about Blaker AFTER the fact?

zeldasdobi says:

I believe they thought it was a legal thing and they needed to not set a precedent. However, all they had to do was make some kind of deal with her and no need for a precedent. But, they were too good for anybody’s stuff but their own.

Stupid and arrogant is not even the word.

Nikaia says:

No offense to Jason, because I have a feeling that he didn’t really have a say in the kinds of merchandise that were being sold (I’m sure Betsy had most of it). But that stuff that they’re peddling is 100% crap! I don’t like the T-shirts and the rest of whatever they’re selling. The calendar is decent-looking, though. Blaker’s logo was cute and simple, nothing too flashy or showy, unlike Betsy’s merchandise (I’m not going to say Jason’s because I don’t really think any of it was his idea. None of the stuff screams “Jason” to me).

And after all of this, Blaker is nowhere to be found. I hope Betsy didn’t scare her off. Betsy has no clue on how to be a businesswoman.

Comments that are about me and are off topic will be deleted. Sorry maharais. Instead of attacking me, attack the issues. Or, I suspect it is taht you can’t so you attack me.

Attacks on me will be deleted. This is not something I will put up with on here. Want to attack people who disagree with the rah rahs? Go to the forums. That is where you belong. Or did you chase everyone off so you have to go elsewhere to attack? You pathetic things.

Maharis is deleted again. You are banned from this page.

Anyone who cannot stay on message and just wants to attack me repeatedly will be deleted and banned if it continues.

I used to post a lot on DDB in the beginning. I came over from the idol forums, which I posted on for the first time because of Jason Castro. The site was entertaining in the beginning and through most of the tour. I liked reading the fan encounters and seeing the pictures. However, some of these women took it much too far. On another site, I saw a teenage poster give her experience at one of the preshow autograph signing/picture taking events outside the venue. She said one of the older women couldn’t wait her turn and as she was taking her picture with jason, the woman jumped into the picture and ruined the shot. The girl is looking at this woman in shock who is standing there looking looney and completely and rudely intruding on her picture. The girl felt bad making jason take another picture because he had to go at that point, so she let it go, but was upset. I can relate – at my show, I was having Brooke sign something for me and before I could even ask for a picture, a group of older women started shouting for her to come take a picture with them and then she rushed over there. I turned to my friend in disbelief and said how I didn’t get my picture, Brooke came back after a few seconds all rushed saying “OK hurry 1,2,3 take the picture.” Because these ADULT women were acting like 12 year olds, rudely refusing to wait their turn and imposing on other people’s time, I had to be rushed through what I had waited for. I couldn’t believe it!

And it’s all reflected on what DDB became. I love Jason Castro but I do NOT like his “management.” I do not like that he did not nix this over indulgent gift giving from the start. I voted TONS for him, i hooked up dial idol, I downloaded all his performances, everything, but I was disgusted when I saw that his family was on the Idol boards during the show saying that he could use iTunes gift cards, gift certificates, visa cards, flyer miles. Come on!! That’s disgusting, I’m sorry. The family has endorsed this insanity since the beginning when they should have suggested that all money go to charity, if they want to send cards or little trinkets then send it to the idol address provided. But no. They are greedy and it is a turn off. I ignored it in the beginning but then it became out of control.

I don’t even want to do anything to support Jason any longer because I feel like they’ve taken advantage of these lunatics and encouraged it. Yes, they’re the morons reaching into their wallets to pay for nonexistent gift cards and plaques commemorating absolutely nothing, but this family is eating it up. Jason doesn’t seem to have a problem with it either, and to me that is a huge turn off as well. I do not visit his web site, I do not read any message board, I rarely check any fan site for news because frankly I don’t care. Maybe if he EVER puts an album out I will buy it. I went from being a die hard fan to being “eh” because I am absolutely appalled by the direction this has taken. I would give anything for Betsey Castro to read my post because all I want to say to her is that she ruined what could have been Jason Castro’s career with her “management” skills. All I see when I look at that official store is blatant greed. What happened to the Jason that just wanted to play music no matter what? All I see now are exclusive fan club memberships with absolutely no benefits because he is never going to tour at this rate and ugly overpriced tshirts that I would be EMBARRASSED to wear. I bought one off poptastic blog last april where john norris got his jason castro tshirt, it was a caricature of jason playing the guitar and it said jason is my idol in tie dye.. wore it so he could sign it before the show and he LOVED it and kept talking about it.. too bad Betsy Castro ordered a “cease and desist” to that site because no one could get that shirt anymore..or ANY other shirt that mentioned a “jason” or “idol.” it was the only one out of all the jason ones both official and unofficial that I or anyone with actual style or dignity would actually wear! Funny, I just checked and David Archuleta stuff is still readily available on that site. No one from his “management” had a problem with that.s And he’s the one with an actual profitable career right now. Hilarious in my mind.

If you want to succeed after Idol, you have to strike while the iron is hot. And sadly, for Jason, it cooled off long, long ago. Sorry, but the “dreadheads” are dead weight for Jason now. If anything they are hurting his chances at a deal and have made him a complete joke.
